Winter Wonderland 2012

This year I skated to Only Hope by Mandy Moore.
I personally thought that I did well,
considering that I had very few practices and the
Zamboni broke right before the show! (Which resulted in crappy ice)
This routine that I performed had a lot of glides, spirals, spins, and few jumps.
One of my favorite spins is the sit spin, which I have worked so hard on!
I have finally got it low enough to count as a sit spin in competitions! :D
 My spirals:

 Stag Jump:
 Flip Jump:
And my face of determination ("granny face" as Coach Julie called it)
 Ending Pose:
I absolutely love my friends in the club!
Even though I am rarely around, they still welcome me. :)
Me and Jessie
 Kendall, Me, Savannah, and Ella
Kyle, Bekak, and Katie came to the show and totally made my day!
I'm so glad to have these kids as my best friends!

Photo Class Assignment #8

The trees are not centered, more on the left.
The reflection leads to the tree.
This story tells how big the tree is and it's scene by the river.

The main part of the tree is to the right.
The main piece of bark is leading down.
This story tells how detail the tree is when you look up close.

Photo Class Assignment #5

Leading lines

I could improve this picture by getting a better angle.

The subject is the dew on the grass in the pond. It isn't centered so it is appling the rule of thirds.
The dew on the grass is lined up to create leading lines.
I got imput from Rylie, and Jessica.

but ot one person you may be the world."

Photo Class Assignment #4

Rule of Thirds.

This is a photo of a tree in the outside classroom.
It is demonstrating the rule of thirds because the tree is on the "line".
The subject is the tree.

This next picture is of my lovely converse by the river.
It is demonstrating the rule or thirds because my shoes are not in the center of the picture.
The subject(s) is/are my shoes.

Photo Class Assignment #3

Subject.

2. A photo that you could improve with an explanation.
This is a picture of my cute little brother, Eli.
I could have used better lighting.

1. A photo with a clear subject.
The subject is the word, "finish".
3. An explanation of why you feel this photo has a clear subject.
The subject has contrast against the red gravel.

4. An explanation of the story you think your photo tells.
This picture isn't only the word, "Finish", It tells a more intense story. Being on the Cross-Country team, I know how much of a relief it is to see the finish line in the distance and know that you are almost there. Just imagine a marathon runner that only has one mile left, she knows that she is so close, so she speeds up. She FINISHS strong. She pushes to the end, and gets the satisfying reward of completing this amazing feat. Seeing the word FINISH, gives me the feeling of winning.
Coach Claud always says, "In every race, there is a first winner, and a last winner,
and inbetween winners, but they all finish the race as winners."
FINISH = I WON. :D

     Decent little camera,
    03/27/2012
It has HD capabilities! In regards to all the negative reviews regarding battery life...display playback mode in regular definition! The battery lasts way longer and it still takes the pic in HD. With HD on playback the battery lasts like 3 hrs but several days in regular def. It has panoramic features and takes videos. LCD screen is large compared to size of camera. There is an orange light that comes on and "detects" smiles, faces, adjustments, etc and it is bright. Sometimes hard to keep eyes open but you can turn off. The camera is dainty in size...my cell phone weighs more and I'm paranoid of dropping it. Let the camera "think" and focus and pics are very clear and bright. Also, my battery fully charged in about 2 hrs.

Great lens, great price, great camera,
    07/21/2010
I think this is a great camera. I have only had sony digital cameras and this was the perfect upgrade and $40 cheaper than buying it in the store.
I think the zoom feature is great, the lens is great and takes amazing photos as should be expected with a Carl Zeiss.
The only drawback to this camera is the delay between snapping the shot and the camera actually taking the picture. I found that if I messed with the factory settings I could get it to shoot a bit more quickly but there is a huge delay when you use the zoom and you have to hold the camera very still. I tried to shoot with the zoom at a fashion show and I had to hit the button a good 10 seconds before the model showed up in front of me in order to get her in the shot! Without the zoom issue though, I am VERY happy with the camera.

    Halloween 2012

This year for Halloween, I said, "I'm not trick-or-treating this year!"
But I did dress up and follow my family around. I was going for Cowgirl,
but without the boots, its hopeless. I had gotten so many comments on
how I looked like Indiana Jones that I decided that that would be my costume.

Gentri (Alice) and I by her new bug!

I love SUPERHEROES and I found so many of my buddies!
    SUPERMAN and BATMAN

    Merry Christmas Team!
In cross-country, Region is Christmas, and State is New Years.
Region this year was the same course as the Cache Box and I thought for sure that I would do better. Turns out that I did worse by an exact minute. 24:40.
    Well, I tried my hardest.
Maybe next year I'll do better!
    WE TOOK STATE!
    Good job girls!
This day begun with the PSAT that lasted 3 whole hour of SILENCE!
The longest that I have ever been quiet!
Then once the test was over, we left for the buses.
The bus ride HAD to have been the best part! :D (Erica and I)
While we were waiting for the race to start.
We decided to have fun. . . which means the guys jumping over all of the girls.
This one is Kyle jumping over Sam, Ang, Abby, Emily, me, Sammy, Tia, and Saige.
    Swink (Matthew) spinning over us.
Swink and Kyle kissing the cow.
On the way home, the bus stopped at Texas Roadhouse.
We filled the whole restuarant with the team!
This is Erica, me and Sammy waiting for our meal.
Josh, Eric, and Michael who were sitting acrossed from us.
They were only willing to take a picture if they could do a funny face.
Well, Now it is all over for this year.
I am so terribly sad that the XC season is done!
I will keep running and strive to work harder! :D
