Sweet, Sweet Victory!

Well, I did it! I ran 250 miles this summer! Some parts were hard, but I survived! Ha ha. Thanks Beka for making me run and working hard. I'm so very glad that you did, because if you didn't I would be one of those lazy people sitting on their butts all day with no leg muscle!

The whole reason I put SAVAGE on my bag is because that is what Claude (the coach) calls me. And I am so very sorry that I can't be on the team, skating is my top priority.

Rockstar!

I was walking home from a friends house one day and I heard a voice say,
"Chantel, don't go. . . you are their rockstar!"
Then I hear many little voices scream,
"CHANTEL!" as I see about 7 kids running up to give me a huge group hug. If you didn't notice already, those 7 or so kids are the ones that I have babysat. I love babysitting because when I babysit, it seems more like I am at a friends house.
Another expericence with "babysitting" is at church. On Sunday, I got to go up in the front of the chapel and recieve an advance to Mia-maid certificate. And once they called my name to go up there, 3 different kids whispered, "Yay Chantel!" and waived their arms up high so I as well as the Bishop could see thier excited faces. I know this because they sat on the row behind us and discussed mermaid calls. Haha
And also, we had a mother, daughter date at a park and all of the kids were on the swings. If you were standing any 20 or so feet. You could hear a lovely chorus of, " Chantel, give me underdog!" It was so funny that my friends my age started swinging and wanting underdogs! Haha great times!

Life is only as great as you make it.

love ya!

You never know what you have 'til you lose it. . .

A very nice friend of mine, "Ted", told me yesterday that she was trying to get back in touch with her roommates from college, but, she couldn't find them. She told me to stay close with my friends and never lose touch. And I really took that into consideration . . . what if when i get older, I lose what I have with all of my friends. "Ted" told me this while I was standing by my friend, "Joe". "Joe" just kiddingly said, "Oh, we will most likely be neighbors for the rest of our lives!" And now our inside joke is that our husbands are going to be great friends and we will buy a Duplex, name it Gilbert, and move in with our families. Ha ha Long story. Never lose sight of what is really important, because once it is gone.

It is pretty hard to get back.

Love ya!

P.S.( The picture is of my newly caught frogs one summer. )
